With the beginning of 2020 (a new year) comes a lot of resolutions and goals.
It’s usually when gym membership sales spike and people’s’ intentions are set for improvement 💰💰💰
Sadly the best intentions often fall away a few weeks into the new year when the going gets tough… 😔
It’s not all doom and gloom though, as there are few that can maintain or persevere to attain what they set out for.
The secret isn’t just taking action (although that is a big part) it’s the plan you create and attaching meaning to it.
To use the analogy of chopping down a tree, if we spend the first hour sharpening the axe before taking to the tree, it will save time and ensure better results.
When it comes to your health and fitness, this is often just an afterthought of making the RIGHT plan.
Setting nondescript resolutions like “get fit”, “lose weight” or “be healthy” have such broad connotations and meanings, that won’t hold any real emotional “buy-in” to get you out of bed.
Spend an hour or some time on unpacking what “getting fit” or “healthy” means to you. Making it personal and developing meaning will unfold a more clear set of actions and road map for success 🙌
You’ll miss 100% of the time if you don’t know what you’re aiming for!
Don’t confuse taking action for success without first drawing up the road map.
Take the time to sharpen the axe and swing for success in 2020! 💪
