For us, itโ€™s been a change of pace and trying new things since moving back to Australia. One thing that hasnโ€™t changed is the habit of training.

You can move halfway across the world but your habits will follow you, both good and bad. Once something has been ingrained into your lifestyle, itโ€™s hard to shake it.

That is why all of our programs we have run over the years have a high frequency of 5x per week and we even encouraged activities on your rest days to keep the habit firing.

Often we would get push back from new members saying โ€œI canโ€™t commit to that many times per week with training and nutritionโ€.

There are times when people might be too busy with work, family, and travel to keep the habit +5x per weekโ€ฆ But there is always an opportunity to do something even if itโ€™s only for 5 minutes.

You might not break any records but the simple act of doing that 5 minutes will change the trajectory of your longer-term fitness and health.

One of the best tools recently we have been using for tracking our healthy habits is the Oura Ring. Maybe itโ€™s because weโ€™re fitness nerds ๐Ÿค“ we love it so much. Either way, it has worked wonders for our health and recovery.

It picks up if youโ€™re training too hard or not enough, eating too close to the bed, if youโ€™re getting sick, and even suggests what time you should be going to bed in the evenings.

The habit of measuring helps you make better choices. You start second-guessing that late-night deep dive into the peanut butter jar when you know your scores will be affected tomorrow. ๐Ÿคค
